Obituary

Evelyn Martha Wiebe, age 60, went home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre in Steinbach Manitoba. She was born November 16, 1957 to devoted and caring parents, Jacob and Anne Miller and was raised in Hauge, SK. along with eight sisters.

She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age and was baptized in the North Saskatchewan River as a teenager.

She was married to her loving husband Donald Wiebe for 32 years. Together they raised and loved three daughters: Heidi, Hillary, and Holly.

She devoted 38 years to her working career as a Health Care Aid and retired in 2016.

God was Ev’s number one love and focus. That love poured out over everything and everyone she touched. Her gardens especially reflected God’s beauty and grace. She resembled Jesus’ servant heart by helping out at a variety of different events and functions. The Holy Spirit equipped her to be a strong, compassionate mother, a faithful, attentive wife, and a precious memory making, energetic, deep loving grandma to her three grandchildren: Theo (5), Eli (2), Lila (2).

She looked forward to being reunited with her wonderful parents, sister Norma, niece Kylee and three unborn baby boys.

She is survived by her husband Don; daughter Heidi (Cole Regula) and their family; daughter Hillary (Raymond Nolt) and their family; and daughter Holly Wiebe.

She was also survived by her sisters: Judy Friesen; Linda (Leonard) Janzen; Frieda (Jake) Driedger; Ruth (Art) Thiessen; Verna (Grant) Sauve; Janice (Darcy) Penner; and Sharon (Keith) Wagner. As well her father and mother-in-law, with two sisters-in-law and their families.

Galatians 5:22-23

Ev loved greatly, found joy in everything, had peace in the Lord, was patient in times of uncertainty, and extended kindness and gentleness to those around her. We also remember her faithful heart, the goodness that shone through her, and how she remained self-controlled in times of chaos. She was fruitful and beautiful. And will always be in our hearts.

Funeral service for Evelyn will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Evangelical Mennonite Church, Steinbach, MB with a viewing prior to the service.

Burial will take place at the Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB following the service.
