Obituary

Nina Mary Tallaksen (nee Noftall), at the age of 79, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018. She was a resident at the Heritage Life Personal Care Home in Niverville, MB.

Nina was born on September 28, 1938 and raised in St. John’s, NL. She left as a young adult and lived in New York where she was married to John Tallaksen and started her family. They eventually came back to Canada and lived in many Provinces. She was a home maker and a Care Aide until her retirement.

She is predeceased by her parents: Ronald Noftall, Mary Noftall (Bishop); brothers: Len, Gordy, Wayne, and husband John Tallaksen.

She is survived by her children: Dawn (Ron Desrocher), Debbie (Devan Vandebunte), George Tallaksen (Margie), Eric Tallaksen (Charis) Christine (Dan Rempel); Grandchildren: Eric, Jeremy, Jasmine, Sidney, Morgan, Jordon, Devin, Erin, Reagan, A.J., Cheyane, Adam, Billy; brother: Ron and sisters: Maureen, Joan, Patsy, and Beth and many nieces and nephews.

She was fearfully and wonderfully made, with a colourful personality. She will be sadly missed.

Her remains will be brought back to Newfoundland where a service will be held in St. John’s.
