Obituary

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Diana, loving Mother, Grandmother and Auntie on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Diana leaves to mourn; her son Barry (Amber), granddaughter Jazmyn (Nick), Tayler & Avaree. Diana also leaves to mourn cousins, nieces and nephews.

Diana was predeceased by her husband Elmer of 57 years. Her Father Ross, Mother Freda, Brothers; John, Franklin & Raymond, Sisters; Helen, Margaret, Helga & Donna.

Diana was born in Mary Hill, MB. Her Icelandic history was very important to her. She was proud of being a descendant of Hecla Island.

Diana met Elmer while working at Salisbury House. They married June 6, 1964. Shortly after they moved to Prince Albert, SK., where Barry was born. They later moved back to Lincoln Avenue in Winnipeg. In 1974 they moved to Anola, MB., to build their home and family. Diana was very creative. She taught ceramics and floral courses.

Diana was a grandmother to 3 girls, who were her pride and joy.

We would like to thank all staff at Ste. Anne’s hospital.

As per Diana’s wishes cremation has taken place.
