Obituary

Helen Penner, age 92, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB., and went to be with her Saviour on Friday, March 20, 2026.

She is survived by three sons, Conroy, Murray and Regan and their families; one sister, Dorothy Fast, three brothers, Bernie, Peter and Ray, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her husband Gladstone, an infant daughter Landis and a grandson Greg.

Helen was a middle child in a large family. She worked at Resthaven Nursing Home as a healthcare aide for 13 years and was a much requested caregiver by many families. She was known for her diligent and gentle care of the residents.

The funeral service for Helen will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with family viewing one hour prior to the service.

The interment will take place at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB., after the luncheon.
