Tena was born the third of six children to William and Nettie Reimer. At the age of 8 she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour at the Gimli Bible camp and then at fifteen rededicated her life to the Lord.
She married Jack Loewen on October 15, 1950 in a double wedding with her sister Edna. Together Jack and Tena had 3 girls, Beverley Ann, Karen Joyce and Cheryl Diane and lived in various places including Ontario, Ninette and finally settled in the Morris and Rosenort area. After moving to Morris, they began to attend the Morris Bergthaler Church, later known as the Morris Mennonite Church, and served the Lord there in many ways for 58 years before transferring to the Lowe Farm Bergthaler Church.
Tena loved her family and strangers alike and enjoyed having large and small gatherings at their home. No one was ever turned away and often just became part of the family. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren which just continued on to her great-grandchildren and lastly great-great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly but she left a special legacy of love, faith, friendship and service to the Lord and others.
