Sharon is predeceased by her parents Leonard & Joyce Ledwos, and one sister Diana.
Sharon was born on Friday, April 18, 1952, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was the beloved daughter of Leonard & Joyce Ledwos. As the eldest of seven, her brothers and sisters always held a special place in her heart; she loved them deeply.
She was raised in Selkirk, MB., where her roots and our family history will always belong. She was deeply family oriented and poured her heart into everything she did, even if it was making someone smile.
Hairdressing was her first passion, something she excelled at with natural skill. She also had quite the green thumb and had a deep love for plants and spent hours in the garden.
In the colder days she was always found knitting a new treasure or decorating something with homemade flowers and hearts, and her creativity carried to the kitchen where she prepared everything from scratch and always used traditional family recipes. She was a darn good cook, best known for her cabbage rolls and huge perogies.
Christmas was always a cherished time of year as she created lasting memories every Christmas morning with Baby Jesus in the basket.
She was a classy woman and widely known as the “Cool Mom” who had quite the sense of humour and incredible wisdom making her the person everyone constantly turned to for advice.
Her grandchildren were incredible dear to her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Above all her life was anchored by her love for the Lord, this deep devotion led her to attend Bible College where she passionately studied to become a pastor and share God’s love and goodness with everyone who would cross her path. She was truly a woman of the word, always reflection on the Bible for comfort and wisdom, she will be terribly missed.
“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” ~ Psalm 23:6
