Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marla Plett, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the age of 50. Marla passed away with her family by her side at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Beloved daughter, mother, sister, and soon to be grandmother, Marla had an enormous heart and was deeply loyal to her children.

Marla was born on March 24, 1976, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was adopted at 2 weeks old by her parents Ron and Anna. She was the second oldest of 4 children. She loved watching her children participate in sports.

She was a very loyal Winnipeg Jets fan and loved spending time at her shed located in the woods on her parents property.

She is survived by her children, Raven Carriere (Conner Hudson), Aaliyah Carriere, Jean Carriere, Hayden Summerton, three siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and by her parents Ron and Anna Plett.

A private cremation has taken place.

The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The family would like to thank you for your support and are very grateful for the wonderful care at Grace Hospital during her final days.
