Obituary

With broken hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, daughter, mother, auntie, and friend, Chrissy Martens, who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 39.

Chrissy leaves behind her loving mother, Suzanne Nolette/Martens; her sisters, Michelle Nolette, Jennifer Lucas, and Janice Nolette-Nolin; and her cherished son, Jayden Juba. She also leaves behind her sister Mariah Martens and brother Jordan Martens, who held a special place in her heart, as well as many nieces and nephews who absolutely adored her. She is also survived by extended family and many friends whose lives were touched by her love, laughter, and unforgettable spirit.

Chrissy had a heart that belonged with children. She loved spending time with kids laughing, playing games, giving treats and gifts, and making every moment feel special. Her playful spirit, kind heart, and joyful energy made her someone children naturally gravitated toward. Even as an adult, Chrissy carried the heart of a child full of wonder, laughter, love, and life.

She loved cooking and never made a small meal. Chrissy cooked enough to feed an army because feeding people made her happy. She had a way of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and loved.

Chrissy was incredibly smart and carried many dreams and hopes for her future. She fought battles quietly that many may never fully understand, yet through it all, she remained loving, caring, and deeply compassionate toward others. One of the greatest loves in her life was caring for her mother. The bond they shared was beautiful, strong, and filled with unconditional love.

Those who knew Chrissy will remember her bright smile, contagious laugh, and the way her personality could light up an entire room. She was full of life, full of stories, full of humor, and full of love. Even through difficult times, her soul remained beautiful.

While our hearts ache from losing her too soon, we find comfort in believing that Chrissy is now at peace in the arms of Jesus, free from pain and suffering, surrounded by God’s love and grace. Though her journey on earth was far too short, we are forever blessed and grateful to have shared life with her.

This is not goodbye. This is simply, “We will see you again.”

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” ~ Revelation 21:4

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.

As per Chrissy’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held to honor and remember her beautiful spirit in a personal and meaningful way. Chrissy will be laid to rest at St. Boniface Cemetery.

Our family would like to sincerely thank our Pastor and church family for their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. We are deeply grateful for the comfort, guidance, and care shown to our family, and for the meaningful service that will honor Chrissy’s life. We also sincerely thank everyone who has prayed for us, supported us, and stood beside us during this heartbreaking loss. Every message, hug, and act of kindness has brought comfort to our hearts, and we will carry your love with us as we heal, forever grateful for all who stood by us during this heartbreaking loss.
