Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad, papa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend.

George passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the age of 81, after a long battle with cancer.

George was predeceased by his parents, Antoine and Lea Berard; brothers, Eddie and Gerald; sister-in-law, Judy; brother-in-law, David Danby; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rene and Lillian D’Aoust.

George’s greatest joy was his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Alexis, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. He will be deeply missed by his children, Christine (Barry), Angela, Greg, Jonathan (Delaina), and David (Abigail); and by his beloved granddaughters, Erowyn and Ava, who brought him endless pride and joy. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother, Ron (Cathy); sister, Eveline; brother-in-law Jerry; sister-in-law Faye; extended D’Aoust family; and his many nephews, nieces, and friends.

George was a wonderful father and a loving, strong, and steady presence in the lives of his children. His guidance, support, and unconditional love will remain with them always.

After retiring, George cherished the simple pleasures of farm life. He enjoyed spending his days with his wife, children, and cherished granddaughters, creating memories that will be treasured forever. He found great joy in the companionship of his horses, dogs, and cats and was happiest when surrounded by the family and animals he loved. These moments brought him his greatest happiness.

Cremation has taken place. No funeral service will be held.
