Gordon Roy Foster

Obituary

It is with sadness that Roy Gordon Foster passed away at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, MB., on July 8, 2026.

Roy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 27, 1951. His parents were John R. Foster and Lillian (Bordun) Foster.

Roy graduated from Silver Heights Collegiate. He worked at the Canadian Wheat Board for many years with computers. He attended Kirkfield Church and also Calvary Temple which he enjoyed very much. Roy’s favourite pastime was playing cribbage, scrabble and watching hockey games. He enjoyed reading lots of different books and going for walks.

He is survived by his sister Lucy Johnson, his nieces and nephews as well as his grand niece, grand nephews and cousins. He will be missed by family and friends. Roy was predeceased by his parents John and Lillian Foster, his sister Joanne Gobeil and many aunts, uncles and his grandparents.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Church of the Rock, 1397 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, Manitoba at 11:00 with an interment to follow at St. Vital Cemetery.
