Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Dallas Sumner.

Dallas will be remembered by his father Dustin Paul, mother Chantal Sumner, sister Aaliyah and brother Denzel.

Dallas will be missed by foster parents Leonard and Carol Wiens, brother Mark (Kelsey) Wiens, sisters Danika (Daniel) Beaudette and Kendra (Dwayne) Doerksen.

Dallas will also be missed by his first foster parents, who he still loved and had contact with, Monica Knight and Denis Lacey, and his dear friend Roger.

We would like to thank the Grunthal Fire Department, St. Pierre RCMP and recovery unit. Your support, dedication and professionalism is truly appreciated.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Crossings Funeral Care, Steinbach, Manitoba, followed by a light reception.

A wake will be held from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Eternal Grace Funeral Home, 1111 Logan Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 1R1.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Eternal Grace Funeral Home, 1111 Logan Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Interment will take place at 2:00 pm in Heritage Cemetery, 395 Loewen Blvd, Steinbach. Manitoba.
