Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather Alexander Derksen on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the age of 69. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Valentina Derksen (nee Fast); son Leo (Alma) Derksen and grandchildren Cynthia, Amelia, Maribel, Luke, Ben, Teona, and Jessica; son Jürgen (Ilona) Derksen and grandchildren Mara, Noe, Leen, and Lev; daughter Daniela (Andreas) Stoll and grandchildren Liam and Ryan.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Crossings Funeral Care, Steinbach, Manitoba with a private family burial to follow. The family invites all to stay for a reception following the burial.
