Jenna Elizabeth Oeste, was born in Winnipeg, on September 3, 2003, and passed away on September 21, 2026, after facing health complications with courage and grace.

Jenna lived a life marked by tenderness, faith, and a quiet but powerful strength that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was the beloved daughter of Andrew and Marsha and the cherished sister of Kiahna and Joelle. Her extended family included Papa Rudy and Nana Grace Loewen and Oma Magdalene Oeste, Great Grandpa Frank Friesen, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the extended families. She will be met in heaven by Opa Gerhard Oeste and Great Grandma Nettie Friesen.Her presence in her family was a gift that brought warmth, laughter, and comfort, and her memory will remain a treasured part of their lives forever.

She completed her high school certificate at Vincent Massey, where she continued to grow into the kind, thoughtful young woman so many came to admire. Her life, though far too short, was filled with meaning, and her spirit reflected the beauty of a soul rooted in love and faith.

Jenna was a Christian whose life was shaped by her trust in God and her desire to live with compassion. She found comfort and joy in listening to worship music, allowing praise to lift her heart and steady her spirit. Her faith was not merely something she held in words, but something she carried into the way she treated others. She was loving, kind, and faith-filled, and those qualities shone through in the gentleness of her interactions and the sincerity of her smile. She had a heart that noticed beauty in the simple things, and she appreciated the small joys that made life feel bright and full. She enjoyed iPad games, loved animals, and found delight in jewelry and pretty nails.

Those who knew Jenna will remember her as someone who made others feel seen, valued, and welcomed. She had a natural warmth that drew people in, and she carried herself with a softness that never diminished her strength. Her love for people was genuine. She understood, in a quiet but profound way, that kindness is never wasted and that love leaves an imprint that time cannot erase. Even in the face of health complications, she remained a witness to perseverance and faith. Her life reminds us that a bright soul does not need a long earthly journey to leave a lasting legacy.

In times of sorrow, Jenna’s life reminds us that God’s love is steady, present, and unshakeable. Her example encourages us to live with intention and gratitude, to cherish one another, and to speak kindness freely while we have the chance. Through difficult seasons, she showed how a life centered on faith can radiate hope and reflect trust in the Lord’s purpose. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). These words speak beautifully to Jenna’s spirit of devotion, courage, and steadfast belief.

Jenna’s memory will live on in the hearts of her parents, Andrew and Marsha, her sisters, Kiahna and Joelle, and all who were blessed to share in her life. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her gentle nature, and the faith that gave her life its deepest meaning. Though her earthly journey has ended, the love she gave remains – a testament to how brightly even a brief life can shine when filled with grace.

May those who grieve her passing find comfort in the promise of Christ, who is near to the broken hearted and faithful to carry His children home. May Jenna’s legacy continue to bless those who hold her close in memory and in prayer, inspiring them to love deeply, live faithfully, and walk each day with hope.

The family wishes to thank all the staff of 7A West at St. Boniface Hospital; our Whyte Ridge Baptist Church family; all our family and friends who have brought meals or given gifts; Jenna’s respite workers: Jenni Giesbrecht, Joyce Aukema, Aireen de Los Rayos, Aidah Tumukunde and Stephanie Hemlow, staff at DASCH; Jenna’s Life Skills teacher and EAs at Vincent Massey, Arthur A. Leach and Chancellor Elementary School; and all the doctors, nurses and healthcare aides who have cared for Jenna through the years, at home and in the hospital.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, 2405 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba.
