Obituary

Katie Braun, age 93, of Niverville, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at the Heritage Life Personal Care Home in Niverville, MB.

She was a pioneer nurse and as such impacted many people. She will be missed and remembered by her relatives and many friends from Canada, Paraguay and beyond.

Katie was predeceased by her parents, Peter & Agatha (Klassen) Braun, sister & brother-in-law Maria (nee Braun) & Heinrich Falk, brother Peter & sister-in-law Agatha (Wiebe) Braun, brother Jacob Braun, sisters Agatha & Nettie Braun,, and brothers-in-law, Johan Friesen and Heinrich Dueck.

She is survived by sisters Susan (nee Braun) Friesen, Anne Braun, Helena (nee Braun) Dueck, and sister-in-law Gertrude (nee Friesen) Braun, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Katie will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with a viewing prior to the service. There will be a luncheon following the service. The interment will take place at Hespeler Cemetery, Niverville, MB.
