Cornie Wiebe, age 81, of Grunthal passed away on Wednesday, August 9, at the Grunthal Menno Home.

Cornie was survived by his wife Alvina; children Wilbert, Neil (Anna), Peter (Rachel), Ben, Alvina “Vinnie” (Fred) Wiens, and George (Adelina); 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one sister.

He was predeceased by one brother and two sisters.

The viewing will take place on Sunday, August 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, with a service at 7:30 p.m.

The funeral for Cornie will take place on Monday, August 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, with a viewing prior to the service. The burial will follow at the Grunthal Cemetery.
