Obituary

Albert Bernhard Funk, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, September 3, 2017 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, after a long battle with kidney disease. He was 67 years old.

Albert was predeceased by his parents Henry and Mary Funk. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 44 years, Marlene; four children and their spouses: Shawna (Wes), Jason (Julie), Kris (Chelsey) and Tyler (Carmen). He is also lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren: Seth, Josiah, Hannah, Samantha, Ethan, Isabella and Finley. He had a special relationship with siblings, friends, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Albert worked for Steinbach Creamery and then was self-employed delivering dairy products. He spent his later years working for Unger Poultry.

Albert held fast to his faith through the many struggles he faced during his long battle with illness.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. The burial will follow at the Silberfeld Cemetery, near New Bothwell.
