Obituary

Jarvis Chubey passed away suddenly, at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB., on Monday, August 26, 2019, at the age of 65.

He is survived by his siblings Lawrence (Marilyn), Elsie Kathler (Doug), Audrey Lakusta, Dennis (Karen); his eight nieces & nephews and 12, almost 13, great nieces & nephews will miss their fun-loving Uncle J’s stories and the many adventures they had with him at Uncle J’s farm.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Susie, brothers-in-law Larry Hopkins and Father Henry Lakusta along with his favorite uncles Morris, Sam, and Bert.

He was a man who loved the simple things – family and farming. His sense of humor was incredible. Everyone who met him loved him, and he meant so much to our entire family.

Jarvis was born in Rosa, MB., and farmed there all his life on the family farm.

He was especially proud of his herd of outstanding Charolais cattle. His faith was very important to him.

He was a lifetime member of the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church and served as Church

Elder and its President for over 20 years where he always had a tale to tell. If anyone needed a helping

hand Jarvis was always there to help.

The prayer Service will be held on Monday, September 2, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., followed by the burial at St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Rosa, MB.
