Obituary

Jessie Neufeld passed away, peacefully on Friday, December 4th, 2020 at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Steinbach, MB., with some children by her side. She was 94 and brought joy to all she met. Her long life was filled with cheerfulness and hard work for others.

Mom had a strong faith in God and drew deeply from His well of love. Patience flowed out through her to everyone she embraced. She was “Tante Jessie” or “Aunt Jessie” to so many friends and neighbors, along with her many treasured nieces and nephews.

Jessie always brought the positive side of things into view, and saw the world as a cup “half full.” She was like sunshine to her family, her Randolph community and beyond.

Mom is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Henry, to whom she had to say Auf Wiedersehen in 1998.

A livestreamed private family funeral service for Jessie Neufeld will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. The online viewing will begin at 10:25 a.m., followed by an online slide show starting around 10:40, with the online service to begin at 11:00 a.m.

A private burial will follow at the Chortitza Mennonite Heritage Cemetery in Randolph, MB.

It is our hope to have a public celebration of the life of Jessie Neufeld during the summer of 2021 in the Randolph Community Centre at Neufeld Garage.
