Obituary

Edward Hildebrand, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.

He is survived by his wife Betty Hildebrand, one son, two grandchildren, three sisters, one brother, one sister-in-law and four brothers-in-law.

He was predeceased by his parents Peter & Anne Hildebrand.

Edd was a loving husband of 51 years and a wonderful father and grandfather. Edd worked at Boyd Autobody for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing all his life and hunting in his earlier years. Edd was an amateur photographer and made sure every family moment was captured. Ed was a natural tinkerer and loved the challenge of fixing anything set before him. Edd was also a world traveller and had been with family and friends, everywhere from Europe to Mexico to all across North America. His brothers & sisters all have fond memories of him, whether it be adventures as travelling or canoeing, fishing, or scuba diving or as simple as telling a good story to make them laugh. Edward was a respected member of the deaf community and will be deeply missed by his friends and family and all who knew him.

There will be a come & go viewing (5 people at a time) on Thursday, December 17, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. followed by a livestreamed private family service at 7:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
