Obituary

George passed away peacefully Thursday February 17, 2022 at 1:26pm in Mitchell at a family Home at the age of 76.

George is survived by 1 daughter and 5 sons: John (Mary-Anne); Pete (Tina); Benjamin (Nettie); George (Mary); Susan (Mike); Neil (Steph); 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

George is predeceased by his Wife Maria, Parents John and Susanna and brother John.

He was an inventor who enjoyed woodworking and welding and making things. In the last few years enjoyed gardening.

Even though he didn’t go to church much the past few years he enjoyed listening to Billy Graham and David Jeremiah.

The livestreamed Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday February 27, 2022 at 3pm at Daily Life Church. 6 – 289 PTH 12N Steinbach MB, With interment at a later date with immediate family.

Viewing will be held Saturday February 26 from 12pm to 9pm at Morris Funeral Home.

The family wishes to thank Pete and Tina Blatz for opening their home for George so he didn’t have to die alone in the hospital but with family. Corey Wall of Morris Funeral Home for his friendship to George and his services. Daily Life Church for the use of their church. And to all those who took time to be part of his life, helping out anyway they could.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help cover the costs of George’s funeral.
