Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Eric Spence on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Bethesda Place Personal Care Home in Steinbach, MB.

Eric was predeceased by his wife Jean in 2019.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son; Michael (Dana), their children; Geoffrey (Billie-Jo), Rachael (Shawn) , Jonathan (Emily), great grandchildren; Nathan, Marissa, Ashley, Jacob, Ava-Lynn. His daughter Gaynor (Bill) their children; Tammy, Crystal (Allan), great grandchildren; James, Isaiah and Tatiana.

Eric was born in England, and near the end of WWII he served in the RAF. Upon leaving the service, he married his wife Jean, and together the immigrated to Winnipeg, in 1965. Eric was an extremely hard working man working numerous jobs to provide for his family. Eric was also a long time standing member of the Transcona Legion Branch 7. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing or watching soccer, and cricket. He also enjoyed working in his award winning garden, and spending time with his family.

According to Eric’s wishes, cremation will take place, and no formal services will be held.
