Obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Wiebe on February 15, 2018 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach MB.

Ken will be greatly missed by his wife Sherri, his mother Jessie Wiebe, his three sisters; Janice, Karen (Abe) Broesky, and Marge (George) Plett and his brother in-law Gerry (Olga) Broesky and their families. He is also survived by his father-in-law Ed Warkentin, his brothers-in-law Wayne, Glenn (Laurie) and Rick (Susanne) and their families.

He was predeceased by his father, Leonard Wiebe, sister Diane Broesky, brother David Wiebe and mother-in- law Grace Warkentin.

Ken was married to the love of his life and best friend, Sherri. Their 25 years of marriage was filled with many weekends at the lake and travelling together. Their time together was filled with laughter and love, surrounded with many family and friends.

Ken’s fun loving personality brought him friends wherever he went and he was fortunate to have many close lifelong friends.

Ken only had one speed, full throttle. Anything he was doing he gave 110%, whether he was loading trucks at work, playing short stop for the Webbers, or just enjoying time around the fire with friends.

Ken was blessed by all the friends and family who came to visit and showed their love and support. He was especially thankful for his 6 a.m. coffee’s, Thursday’s cheese curd delivery and fried egg sandwiches with mayo.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Steinbach Mennonite Church, 345 Loewen Blvd, Steinbach MB.

Donations in memory of Ken may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160 – 675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg MB R3E 0V9.

Special thanks to Dr. Reimer and the many nurses and staff at Bethesda Hospital for the care they provided to Ken.
