Obituary

It is with grieving hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Emily Dueck, on September 3, 2025, at the age of 69, in Ste. Anne, Manitoba.

Emily was born on July 2, 1956, to Emile and Aurise Delorme of St. Pierre, Manitoba, where she lived until settling down with her husband in Steinbach.

Emily was predeceased by her devoted husband, Jacob Dueck (Jake); mother, Aurise Tougas Delorme; father, Emile Delorme; brother, Raymond Delorme; sisters, Irene Gobeil and Aurise McFarlane; mother-in-law, Justina Dueck; father-in-law, John Dueck; and brother-in-law, David Dueck.

Emily leaves to mourn her seven children, 20 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren: Sharon (Reuben) Johnson of Arizona and their seven children, Abigail, Hadassah, Isaiah, Chloe, Phoebe, Levi, and Lucas; Joanne (Gerhard) Kayser of Saskatchewan, and their four children and two grandchildren, Malachi (Grace) Kayser and their daughters, Ella and Alora, Elijah, Isaiah, and Nataniah; Amanda (Ben) Drake of British Columbia, and their two children, Hudson and Raiya; Sarah Kauenhowen and her four children, Katie, Collin, Travis, and Ethan; David Dueck and his three sons, Dayson, Dominic, and Jeremiah; Charity Dueck; and Bethany Dueck.

Also left to remember Emily are her sisters, Cecile (Andre) Bernardin, Dawn (Roger) Penner, Ginette (Abe) Dueck; and brother, Richard Delorme; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alvin and Martha Dueck, Agatha and Bert Curè, Aaron and Marge Dueck, Abe and Ginette Dueck, Beatrice Dueck, Martin Dueck, and Kathy Vandell; and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 7:00–9:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Crossings Funeral Care.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Crossview Church, 345 Loewen Boulevard, Steinbach, MB followed by an interment in the Heritage Cemetery and a reception at the church.
