Obituary

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nestor Ewacha on Monday, January 12, 2026.

Nestor leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Audrey, her daughters Laura and Carrie (Kelly) and their families. He also leaves three brothers-in-law Ed Cyr, Orest (Brenda), Dennis Kischuk. One sister-in-law Shirley Mistelbacker (Billy) and many other family and friends.

Nestor’s working career started with Manitoba Hydro which he left to return to school to pursue a career in forestry. Nestor had a long and satisfying career which he retired from after 35 years leaving him with many good memories and friends.

Nestor was predeceased by his parents Henry and Doris Ewacha, and his sister Peggy Ewacha.

A very special thank you to the caring and supportive staff of the Bethesda Hospital and to our family and friends for their love and support.

The funeral mass service for Nestor will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel Steinbach, MB.

The interment will take place at Zhoda Community Cemetery, Zhoda, Manitoba.
