Obituary

Peter H Reimer, age 97 and 15 days, of Kleefeld, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026.

He is survived by three daughters: Shirley & Albert, Lorie & Darryl, Gail & Bob.

Left to mourn with them are his sister Lena, sister-in-law Helen, brother-in-law George, son-in-law Max, daughters-in-law Lynn, and Cheryl, his 17 grandchildren: Jamie, Jody, Donna, Corey, Joel, Riley, Jordan, Madison, Jayden, Mikayla, Brittany, Ashley, Nicole, Tracy, Maryk, Bobby, Chantal and their spouses along with 30 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Mary, sons Harold and Gary, daughter Elaine.

Dad married Mom in March of 1960. For the first few years he woke up early, milked the cows and headed to his stucco job. After a few years of double duty, Dad established his herd and was able to let go of his stucco career. He worked hard his entire life, providing for his family.

After 35 years of farming, Mom and Dad sold the farm and moved to Kleefeld to retire. They resided there for 31 years. Dad remained in his own home until his passing.

Special thanks to: his dear friends Abe & Sarah, Agatha; his wonderful neighbors; his caregivers: Irene, Marjorie and Kaylie; Pastor Eric, Wayne & Henry; his coffee buddies; the St. Pierre RCMP; Jarrod at Birchwood; all the children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren who helped with care, cleaning the house and gutters, putting up Christmas lights, shoveling the driveway, raking the yard and helping with whatever repairs were needed, taking Dad/Grandpa to appointments. Your kindness was never overlooked.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grunthal CMC, with interment at the Grunthal cemetery following the service. A fellowship lunch will be served at the New Horizons in Grunthal following the interment.
