Obituary

Jean Morin (née Antochiw), 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Ste. Anne Hospital. She was born on September 4, 1932, in Selkirk, MB.

Jean leaves to mourn her passing:

• Her son Lenard (Valerie) and their children: Brian (Bekki), Michael (Leah – deceased), and David (Trish).
• Her son Ron (Marielle) and their children: Chantal (Colin) and André (Josée).
• The children of her late son Gerry: Cindy (Kevin), Steven, and their mother Diana.
• Numerous beloved great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
• Her sister, Joyce Siedlecki, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Morin; her son, Gerry, and his wife, Ellen; her grandson Michael’s wife, Leah; her parents, Michael Antochiw and Lena Tysoski; and her brother, Kenneth Antochiw.

She spent over 50 years living on Monominto Road before moving to Place Ste. Anne in 2014. It was there that she spent her remaining years, making numerous dear and lasting friends.

For many years, Jean worked as a cook at the Ste. Anne Hospital until her well-earned retirement.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Ste. Anne Hospital, Palliative Care, and Home Care for the care, kindness, and compassion shown to Jean.

As per Jean’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.
