Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of David Brian Burton announce his passing on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Left to mourn are his parents Blair and Calla Burton, Valerie and Cory Garrard, three beautiful children: Adia, Peyton and London. Siblings Amanda (Jonah), Candy (Ryan), Jason (Kim), Ellery (Jenna), Trevor (Carrie), Kevin (Kylie), Brendan (Harmony), Alyssa (Kurt), Grandpa Geoff Burton (Sheila), stepsiblings Brad (Megan), Allie (Danny), Chelsea (Jordan) and many aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.

David was born in Neepawa, Manitoba on May 30, 1986. He lived his early years on the family farm near Kelwood, Manitoba and then moved to Steinbach, MB in 1998 where he completed his schooling and made many great friends.

He was an athletic person who especially loved hockey and baseball and excelled at both. He loved many different musical genres and was particularly interested in playing acoustic guitar. Most recently he also developed an interest in woodworking.

Dave had a great laugh, quick wit and a million-dollar smile that never failed to entertain his family and without doubt contributed to his success in sales over the years, most recently at Dufresne Furniture.

Dave’s passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends.

The family would like to thank the first responders, health care staff, and Birchwood Funeral Chapel for the care provided to David.
