Ooey-Gooey Bacon Tarts

Bacon Tarts


frozen tart shells
2 tbsp
melted butter
1 c
lightly packed brown sugar
1/4 c
maple syrup
eggs, beaten
3/4 c
chopped pecans
6 slices
bacon, diced, cooked and drained
to taste
vanilla ice cream (optional)


Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Place frozen tart shells on baking sheet. In large bowl, combine butter and brown sugar, add maple syrup, eggs, vanilla, pecans and bacon (from Earls Meat Market). Mix well. Divide mixture evenly between 18 tart shells. Bake 20-25 minutes or until pastry is golden brown and filling is set. Move to wire rack and cool slightly. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream if desired.
