View From the Legislature

My wife Kim, son Malachi and I were again able to attend the Summer in the City Festival on the weekend. The entire event was tremendous and once again showed tremendous community spirit.

In addition, we took in the Culture in the City portion and joined in the celebration of welcoming and thanking those who have recently or in the past come to Canada to make it their home.

I am fortunate to be able to attend many events in the constituency and as our community and region have grown, it is incredible to see the impact made by new Canadians. Steinbach is a wonderful city where people not only come to visit, but one people come to call home. It is a place where new Canadians bring and raise their families and make our communities what they truly are. Steinbach continues to be among the most welcoming cities in Canada as demonstrated by the many people coming from around the world to create a new life for themselves and their families. They enrich our lives, they make our lives as neighbors better and they make the lives of our children better.

Thank you to new Canadians for bringing the world to Steinbach and for continuing to come to Manitoba and helping it grow, succeed and be enriched.
