Steinbach RCMP would like to remind drivers to stop and obey cross-walk lights, especially during school hours.
Police say that safety concerns have been brought forward in the area of Mckenzie Avenue and Barkman Avenue in Steinbach, with regards to vehicles not stopping when the lights are flashing.
RCMP remind drivers that when lights are flashing, all vehicles must come to a complete stop, check both ways and ensure there are no pedestrians before proceeding through the cross-walk. Failure to obey a traffic control device carries a fine of up to $203.
