On September 19, 2016, at approximately 3am, Selkirk RCMP stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 59 near Road 81 N in the RM of St. Clements, Manitoba.

Police say that three males were in the vehicle. Initial investigation revealed that the driver was being deceitful regarding his identity and as a result, he was arrested for obstructing police. The driver was then searched and baggies of white powder, believed to be cocaine, was discovered on his person. Police then arrested the driver and passengers of the vehicle for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

RCMP report that 21-year-old Zuhair Mohammad, 21-year-old Delano Wilson and 29-year-old Awrangzaib Seerat, all of Winnipeg, will be facing numerous drug-related charges.

RCMP would like to remind the public that those who produce and traffic illicit drugs destroy lives, homes and communities. The RCMP remain fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs to their fullest extent.
