Manitoba RCMP are reporting that a recent single plane collision that occurred near Oakbank, MB, has claimed the life of an adult male.
On July 26, 2025, at approximately 11am, Oakbank RCMP were notified of a single plane crash in the Rural Municipality of Springfield, south of Oakbank.
RCMP, along with local fire department and emergency medical services, responded to the scene and located the wreckage of a small, single-engine two-seater aircraft. Members noted that the aircraft was located on the north side of Highway 15, west of Highway 206.
Police say that the body of an adult male was recovered on scene and that there were no other occupants onboard. It was also noted that the plane had been privately owned.
Oakbank RCMP, along with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, are continuing the investigation of this incident.
