Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 46-year-old Mitchell man is facing a significant fine for going 43 km/h over the posted speed limit near Steinbach.

The Manitoba Wildfire Service advises that with some improvements in weather conditions in northern Manitoba, there will be a gradual lifting of some fire and travel restrictions. However, the south and central regions of the province still face high to extreme fire danger levels, therefore current restrictions will continue to apply.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the recent theft of a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The bike was stolen near the town of Richer, Manitoba.
