A new report from Farm Credit Canada indicates the Canadian food and beverage sector is well positioned to take advantage of the new marketing opportunities that will be created as the global economy opens back up.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 5.3 per cent provincially and 5.2 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on April 14, 2021, 86 new cases of the virus have been identified. The Manitoba Wildfire Service advises that recent significant weather changes have allowed the province to lift all of the current fire and travel restrictions in southwest Manitoba.

A total of 100 warnings and 13 tickets were issued for the week of April 5 to 11, including eight $1,296 tickets to individuals for various offences and five $298 tickets to individuals for failure to wear a mask in indoor public places.

More than 20 per cent of Manitobans 18 and older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, a significant milestone in the fight against COVID-19.

Eligibility to be immunized at a super site or pop-up clinic includes individuals aged 60 or older and First Nation people aged 40 or older. Anyone who has been in Manitoba for one month or more can receive the vaccine at no cost if they meet provincial eligibility requirements.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 6.2 per cent provincially and 5.6 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on April 12, 2021, 114 new cases of the virus have been identified. This brings the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 35,327.
