A 22-year-old Altona man is facing numerous firearms related charges after being arrested in connection to an ongoing investigation by RCMP.

The Manitoba government will invest $2.5 million and grant public health enforcement powers to over 275 additional personnel to help protect Manitobans as COVID-19 cases continue to rise.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 8.9 per cent and 427 new cases of the virus have been identified as of 9:30am on November 5, 2020. However, a case was removed as it was from out of province. This brings the total net new cases to 426 and the total lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 7,177.

Between October 26 and November 1, 2020, Manitoba RCMP received 182 calls related to COVID-19. Enforcement was not required for most of the calls as they were resolved through education and/or guidance given by responding officers.

Island Lake RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing Garden Hill man, 30-year-old Wesley Wood.
