Thompson RCMP are renewing a plea for public assistance in locating a missing Lynn Lake, Manitoba man, 35-year-old Yvon Shawn Guignard.

Thompson RCMP are asking the public for any information pertaining to the homicide of a Thompson, Manitoba resident, 83-year-old Franc Mlakar.

A 322-kilometre section of PR 391 connecting Lynn Lake and Thompson will be renamed Tom Cochrane’s Life is a Highway, in honour of the Lynn Lake-born singer.

On September 13, 2016, just after 10pm, Thompson RCMP were called to a disturbance in the downtown area of Thompson, Manitoba.

On the weekend of August 24 and 25, 2016, Thompson RCMP, in conjunction with North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team and StreetReach, initiated Project Home Deliver.

On August 28, 2016, at approximately 10:20pm, Thompson RCMP, as well as EMS personnel, were dispatched to a residence on Dominion Bay in Thompson, Manitoba, following a report of a 3-month-old infant in medical distress.
