Although heading into winter, things are getting “greener” around Steinbach.

This summer saw Steinbach’s Solid Waste Department try something new in the area of composting – community compost depots.

By 8:30 am today, hundreds stood inside the lobby of the Southland Church in Steinbach waiting to search through the more than 100 tables, set up inside, for much needed food and clothing.

The Steinbach RCMP are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for multiple break and enters to several stores within Clearspring Centre in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 318(1) and 318(4) of The Municipal Act that the Council of the City of Steinbach will hold public hearings at the City of Steinbach Council Chambers.

On October 8, 2011, just before 9am, Steinbach RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision, 1 mile east of Steinbach on Highway 52 in the RM of La Broquerie.

For the past four months, Steinbach’s Solid Waste Department has been delivering two compost depots every Saturday to the Steinbach Junior High School and Woodlawn School.
