Obituary

Irène Marie Dolorès Tétreault, (nee Tremblay) age 84 years, of Ste. Anne, MB, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Villa Youville Inc., Ste. Anne, MB.

She is survived by her three children Robert (Cathi), Janine (Wayne) and Carole (Grant) and her grandchildren Chantal, Camille, Ben and Céline.

She was predeceased by her husband Donat Tétreault, her parents Theodore & Marie Jeanne Tremblay and her brother Roland.

Irène was born in the farming community of St. Joseph, Manitoba on April 10, 1935. She went on to Normal School, in St. Boniface where she would graduate as a teacher and obtained her first job in a one room school house in Ross, MB. This is where she would later meet her husband Donat and one year after they were married in 1958, start her family. She stayed home to raise her children and when her youngest started school, Irène returned to the second love of her life, teaching elementary school children. She taught until the age of 65 and then went on to enjoy her retirement years with her family and friends

A big heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful, caring staff who work at the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne for taking such good care of our mother.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with an ash interment at a later date.
