Obituary

Wayne Barkman, born on March 22, 1954, in Steinbach, Manitoba, passed away Saturday, October 12th, 2019, after a brief battle with cancer. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

He will be missed dearly by his wife, Rose, his children Jacqueline (Sheldon), Brad (Carla), Jen (Justin) and his grandchildren Austin (fiancé Brooklyn), Isabella, Woodson, Mari, Alexandra, Reagan, Paige, Logan, Willa and Oliver.

He was welcomed to his eternal heavenly home by those who went before him – his father, L.A. Barkman, his mother, Agnes Barkman, and his sister, Bev Kehler.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Springs Church, Steinbach, with a viewing prior to the service.

If you’d like to make a donation in honour of dad, please donate to Children of the Promise (the orphanage Woodson and Mari were adopted from). If you’d like to give flowers know that dad loved flowers. But, please know your presence, thoughts and prayers are the greatest gifts.
