Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maurice P. Gauthier. Over the last sixteen years, Dad battled many health issues which he fought courageously. After a short battle with COVID-19, Dad was unable to continue fighting and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marietta, daughter Chantel (Jay) Peters, son Phil (Jeanette) Gauthier, daughter Melanie (Nathan) Fedoruk, and son Howard Gauthier. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren: Mercedes, Colton, Autumn, Austin and Bennett.

Dad will be remembered for his generous heart, contagious smile, kindness, distinct laughter and for being the most accepting father and friend.

Dad’s favourite activities included spending time with family, quadding and his absolute favourite way to spend the day was sitting in the truck, crackin’ open a cold beer and watching the cows eat.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
