Obituary

Myrtle Mae Doerksen was born on February 16, 1937, in Satanta, Kansas. She died on October 16, 2022, at the age of 85 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, after a very short period of cancer.

She is survived by four brothers and three sisters, John Doerksen (Agnes), Phil Doerksen (Carol), Sara Doerksen, Pauline Hoorman (Gerry), Henry Doerksen (Lorena), Gerald Doerksen, Delia Baidoo (Sam) and 21 nieces and nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Aganetha Doerksen, sister Lydia Doerksen, brother Raymond Doerksen, brother-in-law John Knight, sister-in-law Judy Doerksen and one infant niece Rita Doerksen.

The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, Manitoba, on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. with a viewing prior to the service.
