Obituary

On Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in the comfort of his home in St. Pierre Jolys, Clément Robert Émile Drouin, 54, passed away suddenly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jacqueline, and their three sons; Daniel (Samantha) and their children Israel, Adèle, Arlo and Colette; Stéphane (Heather) and their children Asha, Ember, Orianna and Elysia; and his youngest, Ivan.

He is also survived by his siblings; Kory, Lorette (Juergen), Marie Blanche (Jim), Jacqueline (Alexander), Helen (Waldemar), André (Jean), Noëlla, Réjeanne (Edward), Léon (Bibianne), Joanne, and their families.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lionel and Armande Drouin.

Clément was born and raised in Alberta, where he joined the workforce at a saw mill. He then moved to Manitoba to hang drywall. In 1988, he attended Red River College for Small Appliance Repair and remained in that field of work, spending the majority of his years at Barkman Appliance.

Clément had an extensive library of sci-fi novels and comics. He enjoyed collecting foreign and specialty coins and challenging his grandchildren to checker matches. He was loyal, hardworking and a deep thinker. Clément and Jacqueline were involved in youth ministry and Clément also played guitar, bass guitar and helped in the sound booth at St. Pierre Bible Fellowship Church.

Jacqueline and her children wish to thank all the family and friends for their loving support and comfort during this emotional time. A special thanks to Clément’s family, who have travelled from BC and Alberta to express their love.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB.
