Obituary

Jacob Regier, 92, of Ile Des Chenes, MB., passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2022, at DeSalaberry & District Health Centre, St. Pierre, MB.

He is survived by his wife Martha, two daughters, two sons and their families.

Jacob Abram Regier was born April 3, 1930, on a farm near Watrous, Saskatchewan. He gave his life to Christ at the age of 14 and was baptized in Lake Manitou. He married Martha Wohlgemut in 1955.

He was a man of strong values and loved his family deeply. He enjoyed hard work and had a zest for life that was infectious. He was not afraid to try new things, and farming gave him opportunity. He often mixed work with the reward of pleasure that often took us on snowmobile adventures or summer water skiing. He loved to sing and travel, and that travel bug took him to many places around the world, one of which was to revive a mission farm in Sudan, Africa. He retired from farming in 2002.

The memorial service will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the McIvor Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, 200 McIvor Ave, Winnipeg, MB, with a private burial prior to the service.
