Leo passed away peacefully with his wife Betty at his side on February 13, 2018 in Kamloops, BC at the age of 75. Leo was born in Steinbach, Manitoba on January 11, 1943.
He is survived by Betty, his wife for 54 years and was predeceased by his parents David and Helen, sisters Mary, Helen and Anne.
Leo will be missed by his daughter Angela, sons Cameron, Vince and Keith, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Leo also leaves behind brothers David, John, Frank and Peter, sisters Kathy, Betty and Hilda.
Leo and Betty moved to Fort McMurray with their four children in 1974 where he started his mining career at GCOS. In the summer of 1980, the decision was made to move his mining career to Logan Lake, BC where his family could enjoy a more peaceful small town setting. Leo continued to enjoy life after retirement in 2002 with Betty and especially enjoyed companionship with his dog Buddy, who went everywhere Leo.
