A true outdoorsman at heart, Dan found his great joy amidst the rugged beauty of nature. Whether he was mudding with friends, casting lines while fishing, or camping with Melody. Amid these adventures, Dan’s love for laughter and camaraderie shone brightly. He cherished nothing more than sharing a hearty laugh and a good joke with friends and family, creating memories with those around him.

Dan explored many career paths along the way, until finding and settling in as a dedicated and valued member of the Plett Trucking team.

Dan Lone started working for Plett Trucking in December of 2008. He came to us as a driver. In an industry where truck drivers stay truck drivers and mechanics stay mechanics, Dan accomplished something very rare by moving into and through the positions that he did. In his last position as a load planner, he was well liked by colleagues and well respected by those he encountered in the transportation industry

As we bid farewell to Dan, let us take comfort in knowing that his legacy of passion, humor, and bountied lists boundless creativity will endure for generations to come. May he rest in peace surrounded by the beauty of the natural world he so cherished.
