Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn William Maxwell, who passed away peacefully at the age of 50, battling a lengthy illness on Thursday, August 21st, 2025, at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Born on December 31st, 1974, in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Glenn will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Elizabeth, with whom he shared 24 years together. He was a loving father to his children, Alex, Joshua, Skylar (Josh), Lincoln and was a proud papa to his two grandchildren, Laker, Lainey (on her way).

Glenn will also be lovingly remembered by his father, Glenn Sr. and sister, Kathy. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and countless friends whose lives he touched.

He was predeceased by his Grandpa Andrew, Granny Katherine, Stepmom Helen, and Biological mother Sharon.

Glenn was such an amazing and hard worker, if he wasn’t working, you could find him spending time with his family, in his garage listening to some of his favourite music, tidying up, washing his bike or just hanging out. He enjoyed teaching his children how he would do things his way. He also loved riding his bike, whether that was just around town to a buddy’s place, to The Pas or Cranberry, or making a trip to Sturgis, South Dakota with his friends for the bike rally that happened every summer.

While we mourn his loss, we will forever carry with us the lessons he taught us, the love he gave, and the laughter he shared. We have lost an amazing man with a big heart, and our family will never be the same without him.

The celebration of life service will be held on September 4th, 2025, at 1:00pm., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
