Obituary

Albert Beers, age 85 of Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

He is survived by his sons Dallas (Jackie) and Dustin (Shannon), as well as sisters Elaine (Glen), Sharon (Bernie), brother Dixon, and grandsons Matthew (Delaney), Brayden and Keenan. Al was predeceased by brothers Gary and Barton.

Born in Grandview, MB on April 24, 1940, the family moved to New Brunswick shortly after. While living in New Brunswick until the age of 19, Al grew to love hunting and fishing which he continued to do throughout his life.

Upon the family returning to Winnipeg, Al began his working career at Ashdown’s before traveling North America with friends, spending two years living in Vancouver before finally settling back in Winnipeg in 1967, where he started working for Manitoba Cartage and finally Livingston Distributors from which he retired.

In retirement, Al enjoyed wood working and drawing, as well as playing darts, lawn darts and bocce ball with family.

The family would like to thank all of the Home Care and Palliative Care staff that cared for Al over these last two years.

His sons would like to send a special thank you to Auntie Elaine and Uncle Glen for the tremendous care and love you showed our Dad in his last years. You are two very special people and our gratitude cannot be put into words.
