Obituary

Peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2025, at Vista Park Lodge, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 75. Our mother has gone home to be with Jesus. Her journey on this earth has ended, but her spirit lives on in the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the faith she carried so gracefully. We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, embraced by eternal light and love.

Doreen was predeceased by her parents: Delia Lecuyer (nee McKay) and Gerard Lecuyer; and her siblings: Marcelline, Miril, Anita, Gilbert, Cyril and Angela.

She is survived by her children: Ruth Wiens (Art), Tim Wiens (Kris) and Theressa Sexton (Todd), and Jake Wiens; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister Camille Potucek and her brother Melvin Lecuyer.

Doreen grew up in St. Eustache, Oakbank and Hazelridge. She was a woman whose kindness touched everyone she met. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and easy-going nature made her a source of comfort and joy to her family. She had a quiet strength about her. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will continue to inspire kindness and grace in those she leaves behind. We will carry forward her legacy of love and gentleness. Her biggest joy in life was her children. She loved playing games and cards but never liked to lose.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Vista Park Lodge for the wonderful care they took of our beloved Mom the last few years.

Doreen’s life will be celebrated privately by her immediate family. We thank you for your love and kindness as we adjust to life without our mom.

Mom will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
