Frank Derksen

Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished father, grandfather and great-grandfather Frank Derksen.

Frank was born in De Salaberry, MB on May 13, 1932.

He leaves to mourn, Dale (Laurie) Derksen, Bruce (Susan) Derksen, Pearl (Jerry) Belan; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Frank married his wife Mary on July 18,1954. Frank and Mary loved to travel to see family, and also spend winter months in warm climates during their retirement.

Frank put God above all, his life reflected this.

He was the Terminal Manager in Edmonton then transferred to Winnipeg as the Manager of Highway Operations, for a total of 39 years with Reimer Express Lines Ltd.

Frank enjoyed running marathons and later cycling was added to his fitness routine. Health was very important to both Frank and Mary.

In 2022 Frank accomplished his 28th Red Rock Cyclathon.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
