It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold Klassen, who passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the age of 75 years.
Harold was born on August 27th, 1950 in Steinbach, Manitoba to Cornie and Jessie Klassen. Growing up he was known for his long curly hair and practical jokes, and in his later years could always be recognized by his immaculate Santa Claus beard!
Harold spent many years working as an automotive service writer at Brookdale Pontiac, and later Park Pontiac in Winnipeg.
He enjoyed many crafts & woodworking, camping, building giant snow hills and skating rinks for his girls in the Manitoba winters, exploring the Alberta mountains with his daughters in the summer. He always made sure to make Christmas and holidays a magical time for his family. He loved sharing his favorite memories, and teaching his kids and grandkids all the tips and tricks he picked up through the years. He especially loved fishing, and always spoke fondly of his fishing trips with his father and brothers.
Harold’s favorite thing to do was make people laugh, or lend a helping hand. He was always quick to offer a smile or silly comment with a twinkle in his eye. He gave the best, strongest hugs.
Harold will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Heather Bray (and grandkids Noah, Ella, Cohen), Kelly Wedel (and Joel), Karla Klassen (and Sean), His Siblings Dorothy (George) Peters, Jessie (Sonny) Peters, Cornie (Caron) Klassen Larry (Carol) Klassen, Melvin Klassen, and all of his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Cornie and Jessie Klassen, and close friend Mary Cook.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are welcome to attend once details are arranged.
